After the decider match between India and South Africa was washed out at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Indian team captain Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer along with Indian team head coach Rahul Dravid flew to England to join the test team. India will play against England in the rescheduled 5th test match of the series. India are already leading the series 2-1, so it will be a high pressure game for England. They have to win this match to avoid a series defeat.
When Rishabh Pant was in the streets of England, his fans ran on to him to take a photo but Rishabh Pant asked them to wait for a moment and gave some food to the homeless man and came back. Then that fan shared that photo on twitter with this heart melting moment from Rishabh Pant.
The fan wrote, “When we asked him for a picture he told us that he’ll be back in a moment. Then Rishabh Pant went towards a homeless man sitting under the bridge and gave him food”. They also mentioned that he asked him if he wanted anything else! What a man!.
Coming to the 5th test match against England, Rishabh Pant may play a key role in India getting some runs with the bat. His attacking intent against the spinner might be very useful for team India. In the warm up game also when he was playing for Leicestershire, he played some attacking shots before throwing away his wicket to Ravindra Jadeja.
England will play a left arm spinner in Jack Leach. Rishabh Pant will always look to swing the bat at the spinners. With Rohit Sharma tested positive for Covid-19 there is uncertainty in who will be captaining the Indian side. One of Rishabh Pant or Jasprit Bumrah will be given a role if Rohit Sharma did not recover within time.
