Even though he unfortunately missed out on the hundred tonight, Chennai Super Kings’ Ruturaj Gaikwad won everyone’s heart with his batting tonight against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Match number 46 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is being played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
It was Kane Williamson who won the toss and opted to ball first. However, the opening duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway had other plans for the day, smashing the Hyderabad bowlers out of the park.
While Chennai Super Kings had many issues at scoring runs before tonight, it was a different story here tonight as Devon Conway and Gaikwad added 100 runs opening partnership.
This was extended beyond to 182 runs partnership for the 1st wicket when unfortunately Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed for 99 runs, meaning he could not score his century to celebrate his return to form.
