When all the things were going well so right for him, Ruturaj Gaikwad unfortunately missed out on his 2nd ever hundred in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history when he was dismissed for the score of 99 runs.
Chennai Super Kings take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad with an aim for return to top form after losing the initial couple of matches of the tournament.
Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bowl first. But, it was a different story as Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad gave Chennai Super Kings an wonderful start.
The duo performed so excellently well that they added an opening partnership of 182 runs before Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed. Questions were raised on the right-hand batsman after he did not had luck by his side.
But, he gave perfect reply to everyone with his inning today, but fans were all hoping for a century from the CSK’s wonderboy.
