Faf du Plessis has continued his previous season’s form as the South African batsman once again displayed his great skills with the bat against Lucknow Super Giants.
Match number 31 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
It was KL Rahul who won the toss and opted of bowl first. It was not a great start for the Bangalore based team, losing their first two wickets in the very first over.
However, Faf du Plessis continued building the inning. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper played the key role throughout the inning, taking his side to a better position.
However, unfortunately, he missed out on a well deserved century as was dismissed on the 2nd last ball of the inning for 96 runs. Faf du Plessis’ inning guided the Bangalore side to a fighting total of 181 runs.
Faf du Plessis has been in great touch from last season itself, finishing as the 2nd highest run scorer of the season, just behind his teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad, while playing for Chennai Super Kings.
And thus, the CSK fans still have a soft feeling for Faf left in their hearts as they along with the RCB fans praised the skipper’s batting.
