The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season is one of the most competitive season of the tournament and a huge proof of that would be the number of thrilling matches we are seeing so far.
The match number 15 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) today was played between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
And just like the other matches of the tournament, this match also saw a high scoring thriller.
Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) out on a big score of 212 runs on the board thanks to some brilliant hitting from Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli.
But in the end, it is actually the Lucknow Super Giants who had the last laugh on the last ball of the match. Thanks to some brilliant batting from Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni, Lucknow came close to the target.
In the last over, they needed 5 runs to win, however it was only the tailenders on the crease. Harshal Patel managed to get two wickets in the over of Mark Wood and Jaydev Unadkat. It was Avesh Khan who faced Patel on the last ball of the match, requiring 1 run in 1 ball with 1 wicket left, a run is a win for Lucknow while a dot or wicket means a super over.
In the end, Harshal Patel did managed to beat Avesh, but wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik fumbled the ball and could not gather it and both Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi ran for a single and won the match.
After his costly mistake behind the wickets, the RCB fans have landed hard on Karthik. See how Twitterati reacted.

Ufff…crazy game. Harshal Patel and Dinesh Karthik missing out on run-outs of the last ball but a game of thin margins. Pooran was special. Two great games in 2 nights at the IPL. #RCBvsLSG— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) April 10, 2023
