A more than of 23 years of hard work has paid off for the Madhya Pradesh team as they went on to romp past a very dominant Mumbai to the Ranji Trophy 2021-2022 victory as they beat the Prithvi Shaw led side by 6 wickets.
Mumbai cricket team, led by talented batsman Prithvi Shaw was the most dominant team in this year’s Ranji Trophy, getting past each and every team they came up against with ease. However, Madhya Pradesh was too much to handle for them.
While for Madhya Pradesh, the team had to wait a long 23 years since their last Ranji Trophy final appearance in 1998-1999 season, which they unfortunately lost to Karnataka.
It is a glorious moment for Madhya Pradesh, as they achie the massive feat without the availability of their star players Venkatesh Iyer and Avesh Khan, who are with the Indian team.
It is also a huge moment for the Madhya Pradesh head coach Chandrakant Pandit, who was full of emotion after winning, as he was the captain of the Madhya Pradesh team that lost to Karnataka.
