With the caption, “Mera sufiyaana pan poora baahar aa gya 😜😆😅”, Shikhar Dhawan posted an Instagram reel in which he was seen getting up from sleep and slapping the person next to him. It was hilarious and amongst many who replied to it, Brian Lara also dropped a few laughing emojis in the comment section.

Dhawan will want to make a comeback soon
Shikhar Dhawan missed out on a berth in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup. This is despite him captaining the team that toured Sri Lanka a couple of weeks ago. Dhawan’s IPL form in the UAE leg was also not great. There have been reports of turmoil in his personal life, as well.
Amidst this, the experienced campaigner would want to make a strong comeback to the Indian squad. The 2023 World Cup is in India and if Dhawan can do well in IPL and the domestic tournaments, he can surely force a return. He will have to fight off competition, though. While KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are the preferred openers at the moment, players such as Ruturaj Gaikwad, Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan, Devdutt Padikkal and Shubman Gill are also in the race. All the others are youngsters and hence, the management might incline towards them. That said, in a top event, experience is a key factor and Dhawan still has it in him to serve the team.
