Team India lost the final T20I against England by 17 runs. However, the margin would have been massive if not for Suryakumar Yadav. The right-handed batter scored a stunning century, which even drew appreciation from the crowd. In this article, we take a look as the England crowd gives a standing ovation to Suryakumar Yadav after his brilliant knock.
England crowd gives a standing ovation to Suryakumar Yadav
Chasing a tough target of 216, India had a terrible start. While Rishabh Pant fell early, both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also lost their wickets after making 11 runs each. Team India had rested Hardik Pandya for the game and hence, SKY had the job to get India close to the total.
The 31-year-old did that and ended up scoring 117 runs from just 55 deliveries. This knock included 14 boundaries and six sixes. He fell in the penultimate over of the innings. Had he been there till the end, India could have managed to get further close to the target.
After the knock, even the crowd at Trent Bridge stood up to appreciate the knock by the opposition batter. Here is a look at it:

Suryakumar Yadav will be the most important batter for India in the middle-order
After this knock, it can be considered that SKY will be the most important member of the middle order. While Virat Kohli is struggling, Rishabh Pant is making very few runs at No.4. Hardik Pandya has just returned to the squad and Dinesh Karthik has a specific role only for the death overs. Therefore, SKY will be the fulcrum for the Indian Team in the middle-overs of the game. The fans will hope that he retains the form going forward.
