An enthralling Final match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 season came to an exciting end with Jaydev Unadkat led Saurashtra beating Maharashtra to win the Trophy.
The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 season was quite an exciting one with some players showcasing their talent in the Indian domestic circuit. Players like Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Narayan Jagadeesan and Ruturaj Gaikwad among some of the talented players who made full use of the tournament.
However, while those players made the headline, Saurashtra’s Jaydev Unadkat went under the radar for many. Jaydev has been Saurashtra’s most important player by a mile. He took a total of 18 wickets from 10 matches, the joint highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
Not only he is a good bowler, but he has also delivered as a captain as well, guiding Saurashtra’s to the Ranji Trophy previously and now the Vijay Hazare Trophy this year. As such, many Indian fans are rating Unadkat as a underrated player in Indian cricket.
