The Indian Premier League (IPL)‘s new boys hit the ground running today as Gujarat Titans is facing off Lucknow Super Giants in both their debut campaign in the IPL.
Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants are the two new teams who have been introduced into the competition beginning from this season, the IPL 2022.
However, while it was a dream start for one team in the form of Gujarat Titans, taking 4 wickets in the powerplay itself, Lucknow Super Giants’ introduction to the competition was good enough.
Well, like it is said that people don’t remember what you did in past, but remember what you did in present. The phrase was proved in the match, as even after a disastrous start, young Ayush Badoni and Deepak Hooda carried the team forward, adding 87 runs.
But what was more interesting about this comeback from Lucknow Super Giants is how a young, 22-years-old Ayush Badoni, who had very less experience and was making his debut, just not played a key role in Lucknow’s comeback, but also scored a fifty on his debut before was dismissed in the last over.
Ayush displayed some tremendous shot making, playing like a matured 27-years-old. Fans were absolutely mesmerized the maturity that the youngster displayed in his inning. Many fans also thanked Gautam Gambhir, who played a key role to discover the talent, just like many in the past.
