With just hours before the match between the Indian cricket team and the Hong Kong cricket team in the Asia Cup 2022, a star Indian cricketer has made a big revelation while attending the pre-match press conference on the eve of the game.


Team India kicked-off their Asia Cup 2022 campaign with a great win over their neighbour and arch-rival Pakistan in their opening match of the competition. The Rohit Sharma led Indian side next takes on the Hong Kong team on the 31st of August.

But before the match, star Indian cricketer and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja attended the pre-match press conference and made a shocking revelation about a rumour that was going on about him.


While Jadeja is at the moment the talk of the country following the rumours of probable break-up with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings following a disastrous season.

But, Jadeja revealed an even bigger rumour that was going about him. When one of the journalist in attendance asked Jadeja about the news Jadeja may be being left out of the World Cup squad but now he played a match winning knock. He Jadeja that how he handle the pressure when a lot is being talked about him.

In answer to that, Jadeja replied, “Aap ne toh bohot choti baat kahi ki main nahi hu World Cup mein. Beech mein toh khabar aayi thi ki main marr gaya hu. Toh issey badi khabar toh ho hi nahi sakti. (You heard a very trivial rumour. Some time back I had heard that I had died. There can’t be a bigger rumour than that).”


Talking about Jadeja, the left-hand all-rounder has been such an instrumental member of the Indian team over the year. However, after featuring in the England tour July in the ODI and the T20I part of the series, he was ruled out of the Zimbabwe series due to injury.

People believed that the injury would mean that Jadeja’s spot for the T20 World Cup is in danger. However, he made a brilliant comeback and let everyone know of his capabilities when he played a crucial inning of 29 runs in the match against Pakistan and build a match winning partnership with Hardik Pandya.
