Mumbai Indians sign former CSK pacer Chris Jordan for IPL 2023, who is the England cricketer replacing in the team?

Mumbai Indians’ performance in Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) has been lackluster. The team managed to secure three consecutive wins after suffering a loss in the first two matches, but was subsequently eliminated from the tournament by Punjab and Gujarat teams.

The latest news regarding the team is that Mumbai Indians have added a dangerous fast bowler, England’s Chris Jordan to their squad. Interestingly, no team had bid for this English bowler in the auction.

During the IPL 2023 mini auction held in Kochi, all franchises rejected Chris Jordan. He was part of the CSK team in the previous season, but they released him before the IPL 2023 auction and no team bid for him this season, despite his base price being only 2 crores.

However, it is now reported that Mumbai Indians have included Chris Jordan in their team. Chris Jordan has played 28 matches in the Indian Premier League over the past few years, but he has not been able to prove himself in those matches. Despite this, he has a lot of experience playing in the IPL and international cricket for England as well as playing all around the world.

The Mumbai Indians are known for winning the most titles in IPL history, but they often receive criticism for their inconsistent performance. Whenever they fail to win the IPL title, they tend to finish at the bottom of the points table.

This season, the team has already lost 4 out of 7 matches, putting their playoff chances in jeopardy. Another loss from here could make it even more difficult for them to reach the playoffs. As a result, the team has added Chris Jordan to their roster, perhaps in an effort to strengthen their chances while it is yet not officially announced or confirmed who he will replace in the team.
