Too many Indian cricketers have been in disappointing form in IPL 2021. Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag has been one of them. In the crucial game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, too, Parag did not perform well. Dale Steyn reacted to this, and after a few moments, IPL anchor Neroli Meadows had a hilarious reply to it.
Riyan Parag’s form has been concerning this season
Riyan Parag burst into the scene a few years ago when he put up some fine performances with the bat and the ball. He showed remarkable maturity at a real young age and impressed many. The Assam player then followed it up with a few good shows in the domestic circuit. Hence, he came into IPL 2021 as one player who had a real chance of getting an opportunity in Team India if he could take the campaign by storm.
However, so far, Parag has not been in form. He is struggling to get runs and is hardly having an impact with the ball. Parag’s fielding has been decent but his celebrations have not dazzled a few. All of it has put Parag under pressure to do well but he is just not being able to do it.
IPL Anchor Neroli Meadows reacts to Steyn’s remark about Parag
Against RCB, despite having time on his hands to construct a decent score, Parag could not get going. He eventually got out after scoring nine runs to Harshal Patel. Dale Steyn felt that Parag is desperate for runs but is struggling to get them. To this, Neroli Meadows said, “What about run…outs?”

To put into context, in the fielding innings, Parag pulled off an incredible direct hit which led to the dismissal of Virat Kohli. At that point, the game was brought back to balance by Parag. Hence, Neroli Meadows brought some sarcasm while replying to Dale Steyn.
