Babar Azam has become the talk of the town after he led the Pakistan cricket team to the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 semifinals. The Men in Green won all five matches in the Super 12 stage and topped the Group 2 that also comprised India, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia.
Cricket experts have heaped praise on Babar Azam and his men for their magnificent performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Some of them have even labeled Azam as the best batter in the world. Recently, a Pakistani fan tried to add Harsha Bhogle to that list of cricket experts who believe Babar is the best batter on earth right now. Here’s what a fan tweeted recently:

The statement was a little twisted because Harsha Bhogle never said that Babar Azam is the best batter in the world. The man himself decided to correct that fan as he quoted his tweet and replied:
“Love watching him bat but I’m afraid I didn’t say that. I said he is “their best batsman….” in the context of what he brings to the side. I think he is in a group of three or four in the “best” category which is a great place to be in too.”

Babar Azam will now lead the Pakistan cricket team in their ICC T20 World Cup 2021 semifinal match against Australia. It will be interesting to see if Azam can take Pakistan to the finals.
