Glenn Maxwell likes tweet mocking RCB teammate Virat Kohli

The Royal Challengers Bangalore finished fourth in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. They reached the playoffs because of some excellent performances from their star players, including the Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. Since the Aussie player performed so well, the Royal Challengers Bangalore retained him for the 2022 edition of the tournament as well.

The three retentions made by the Royal Challengers Bangalore were Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj. Fans were not surprised to see the lineup because all three of them have done well for the Bangalore-based franchise and continue to do so at least for the next 3-4 years.

During the 2021 IPL season, fans saw a great bonding between the former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli and the all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. However, recently Maxwell came into the limelight after he liked a tweet that mocked the recent shortcomings of Indian Test captain Virat Kohli.

A verified Twitter user shared a tweet which highlighted that the batting average of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc was better than the top-order batter of the Indian Test team Virat Kohli in the last two years. Here is a screenshot of the same:

Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell will play in IPL 2022 together

IPL 2022 is expected to kick off in the month of April with a battle between the Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders likely to open the season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained the trio of Siraj, Maxwell and Kohli. It should not be a surprise if the trio ends up playing all matches.

It will be interesting to see how the duo of Maxwell and Kohli performs for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.
