The final match of the Duleep Trophy 2022, which started on 21st September, ended today on the 25th of September. The match was played between West Zone and South Zone. During the match, a very interesting incident caught everyone’s eye.

During the match, we saw a very different form of Ajinkya Rahane, and it has never been that we saw Rahane appear in such form. Ajinkya Rahane is mainly known for being a very calm and cool minded player.

However, during the Duleep Trophy Final, the former India Test captain and cricketer got angry with the player of his own team.

Ajinkya Rahane was the captain of the West Zone team in the Duleep Trophy 2022. Under his guidance, West Zone did also go on to win the tournament beating the Hanuma Vihari led South Zone.

While West Zone won the match, it was a incident involving the captain Ajinkya Rahane and Yashasvi Jaiswal that caught everyones eyes. During the 4th inning of the match, when West Zone was fielding, we saw Rahane being very angry and asked his own teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal to leave the ground.

While there is no official statement from the BCCI as to what really happened there, but there have been many who have claimed that Jaiswal used bad words and got involved in an argument with a South Zone player and received multiple warning from the player and the umpire.

Seeing things getting crazy and mad, captain Ajinkya Rahane stepped up and asked Jaiswal to leave the ground. However, Yashasvi did later joined the game as West Zone won the match by 294 runs and Jaiswal scored a brilliant double hundred in their 2nd inning, adding 265 runs. He was also named Man of the Match for his performance.
