The bidding in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction will start with the names of 10 players who are included in the marquee list. These players include Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Shami, Shikhar Dhawan, Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, David Warner and Pat Cummins.

Talking on this, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra revealed on his YouTube channel that he has been told that the Bangalore based franchise has kept Rs 20 crores for Shreyas Iyer.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is among some of the franchises who are looking for a captain, and Shreyas Iyer is probably the best candidate in that list, and is a domestic player.

Talking on his YouTube channel, he said, “Shreyas Iyer can become the captain of KKR or RCB. I don’t think the Punjab franchise is looking at him. If I tell the truth, the most expensive player in the Marquee list very well might be Shreyas Iyer.”

He also gave the reason for his statement and while talking further said, “Shreyer Iyer will be the most expensive because Ishaan Kishan is not included in the marquee list.”

During which, he has also mentioned that RCB team has prepared about 20 crore for Shreyas Iyer. He said that “someone told me that RCB has kept Rs 20 crores for Iyer.”

If we talk about Shreyar Iyer, he was with the Delhi Capitals franchise till last year. He lead the team to glory during his tenure as captain. But after he sustained injury, Rishabh Pant was named captain and once Iyer came back, Pant was still the captain.

Shreyas Iyer completely told the team that he would only stay if he is promised captaincy and thus, was not retained by the franchise.
