After poor start to the tournament, Delhi Capitals have now registered back-to-back wins in the IPL 2023 as former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner leads Delhi to a famous victory in Hyderabad.
Delhi Capitals started off the season really bad until they somehow managed to get the win or the big W that they needed to boost morale as they beat KKR in Delhi.
They took on the Sunrisers Hyderabad today, Delhi Capitals captain David Warner’s former team.
Batting first, Delhi scored just 144 runs and everyone thought that this would be a easy chase for the home team. However, they also found it difficult to score runs at a quick rate.
Despite Mayank Agarwal’s strong start, who scored 49 runs, every other batters failed to contribute significantly until Heinrich Klaasen and Washington Sundar took them close to victory.
SRH needed 13 runs to win the match, but Delhi’s Mukesh Kumar bowled brilliantly as they won the match by 7 runs. This also means that David Warner won a match for current team Delhi Capitals at his former team’s den. See how Twitterati reacted.
