Hardik Pandya led Gujarat Titans lost their first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Monday against Sunrisers Hyderabad, while the skipper irritated throughout the match, and took it out on the other players if things didn’t go their way.
Match number 21 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans in Mumbai DY Patil Stadium.
Going into the match, Gujarat were the only team undefeated in the competition. Batting first, thanks to a brilliant batting display from captain Hardik Pandya and Abhinav Manohar guided Gujarat to a fighting total of 162 runs.
While chasing the target of 163 runs, Hyderabad played beautifully, adding an opening partnership of 64 runs. Throughout the match, captain Hardik Pandya was not happy with his team’s performance.
And there came a moment when we truly got to experience it. It was during the 13th over of the match when Kane Williamson hit Hardik for two back-to-back Sixes, and then on the last ball of the over, Rahul Tripathi hit the ball towards the deep third-man region, however, fielder Mohammed Shami thought it better to save the boundary instead of going for a catch.
After that, Hardik Pandya let out all of his frustration on Shami as he lashed out on him. However, Twitterati were not happy with his behaviour towards a more senior and frontline bowler of the team.
