Umesh Yadav

In what has been a great deal for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Umesh Yadav has been one of the standout performer for them in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. But, the player has been excluded from the Playing XI today against Lucknow Super Giants.

Match number 53 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is being played tonight, 7th of May, between the Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders in Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

The news from the center is that Kolkata’s skipper Shreyas Iyer has won the toss and has as always opted to bowl first on the night.

But, what has been the most shocking news from the center is that, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)’s ever reliant pacer Umesh Yadav has been ruled out of the match.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer confirmed during the toss that the right-arm pacer has pulled his calf muscle and has been atleast ruled out for the Lucknow match.

Umesh Yadav has thus far featured in all 10 of the matches played so far and has taken 15 wickets and is in the race for the Purple Cap. So, there’s no doubt that Umesh will be a big miss for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) tonight against Lucknow Super Giants.
