The current Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam is currently on the best in the game of bat and ball, even better than Virat Kohli and probably not many will ask any question, a proof of which is how Babar has dethroned Virat off many records.
While Virat Kohli dominated the game throughout the last decade, the last couple of years has been terrible for the former India captain. While once known for scoring a century every other match, he has not scored a single century for more than last 2 years.
And while Virat has seen downfall over the last couple of years, it has been the rise of Pakistan’s star cricketer Babar Azam. Azam has break out as one of the best in the game right now, dominating in all forms of the game and also leading Pakistan to glory.
While Virat Kohli break and set-up new records throughout the last decade, Babar Azam is slowly slowly surpassing all those records of Kohli, the most recent being, becoming the longest at the top of T20I batters ranking.
Babar overtook Kohli’s total of 1013 days at the top of the ICC T20I batsman rankings chart in the latest ranking released couple of days back.
While there was all the craze about Babar surpassing Kohli’s record, Babar didn’t even knew about that. In a recent press conference ahead of their Test series against Sri Lanka, Babar Azam was asked about him surpassing Virat. But, the Pakistan skipper stopped the journalist and asked him what record.
The journalist had to explain him the whole scenario. A video of which you can see below. While answering the question, Babar first thanked the God and said there is lots of hard work behind the success.
He don't even remember how many records he breaks because Ab to aadat si hai mujh ko 😉
