Match number 8 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is currently ongoing between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
After winning the toss, Shreyas Iyer asked Punjab to come out to bat first. Umesh Yadav, just like the previous two matches, managed to get a wicket in the first over of the inning, dismissing Punjab’s captain Mayank Agarwal.
Yadav was bowling with fire today as he has been the X-factor for Kolkata Knight Riders tonight so far. Even though they lost a wicket in the first over, Bhanuka Rajapaksa targetted off-form Shivam Mavi for 22 runs, before gave away his wicket to him.
Things were still going well for Punjab, Liam Livingstone was looking well set, but before he got to fire, he was dismissed by Umesh Yadav. He then followed that up with a double in a over, dismissing Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar, ending his wonderful spell with 4 wickets in his four overs.
