The 9th match of the TATA IPL 2022 is underway. The five-time champions, the Mumbai Indians, are taking on the inaugural season champions, the Rajasthan Royals. After winning the toss, MI skipper Rohit Sharma chose to bowl first. Both teams went with the same XI that played in the last match.

However, the batting line-up of Rajasthan did a fantastic job in their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. But against MI, they didn’t start well. Both left-handers, Yashasvi Jaiswal (1) and Devdutt Padikkal (7), lost their wickets early. But the swashbuckling English opener was going great, on the other hand. RR lost their second wicket at a score of 48 when skipper Samson joined Buttler at the crease.

Both batters added a quick 82 runs off just 50 balls for the third wicket. Shimron Hetmyer joined Buttler at the crease, and both batters added another 50-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler also reached his second IPL century as well. Buttler reached his century in 66 balls, including eleven fours and five sixes.
