The Women’s Asia Cup 2022 is currently being played in Bangladesh and on just the 6th day of the match, we saw a shocker as Thailand Women’s Cricket Team surprisingly defeated the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team in 10th match of the tournament.
After the men’s Asia Cup that took place between August and September, which Sri Lanka won beating Pakistan in the final, it’s now time for the Women’s cricketers to prove their credential.
The Women’s Asia Cup 2022 began officially on the 1st of October with hosts Bangladesh getting off to a winning start as they beat Thailand. But did they ever knew that day on the 6th of October, they would go on to beat Pakistan women’s team.
Batting first, Pakistan scored 116 runs in their 20 overs with Sidra Ameen scoring 56 runs from 64 balls. Sornnarin Tippoch took 2 wickets in the match. Chasing the target, Thailand won the match on the last over thanks to Natthakan Chantham alone leading the charge as she scored 61 runs from 51 balls.
