SKY scored more than 400 runs ever since he joined Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018. Since then, he has arguably been the best batsman for the franchise. In the process, SKY also earned a ticket to Team India. He also did well in the team and therefore, rightfully, got a chance in the T20 World Cup squad.
That said, SKY’s form is worrisome at the moment. In IPL 2021, so far, the Mumbai batsman has been able to score just 189 runs. This is despite his team chasing a few underwhelming targets. In the game against Punjab Kings, SKY got out for a golden duck. He was clean bowled by Ravi Bishnoi. With that, SKY has failed to cross double digits in his last five IPL games.

It is almost certain that Suryakumar Yadav will feature in the playing XI for Team India. As per the current situation, he is likely to slot in at No.4. It is an important position as the batsman in this slot will have to tackle the middle-overs. Now that SKY is not in good form, a few fans are of the opinion that India’s prospects at the upcoming World Cup could be affected. More importantly, even Hardik Pandya‘s form is not looking bright.
