A flurry of Indian team’s squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand and Bangladesh were announced. There have been interesting inclusion in the team, however, some deserving players have also been excluded.
The Indian team is currently busy in Australia playing the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 and is also one of the favourites for the series.
After last winning the T20 World Cup in its inaugural season, Team India is looking to bag its 2 Trophy in the shortest format. It is also believed that the Indian team will be taking new strides in the T20I format after this World Cup with numerous players likely to be dropped from the team due to age with the next T20 World Cup in 2024.
Some new faces are to be tested out in the series against New Zealand with senior members resting for the series. However, the fans were disappointed to see young opener Prithvi Shaw being not included in the squad.
The former India U19 team captain has done really well in domestic cricket as well as in the IPL. However, after making his debut in 2018, he has not been called-up to the Indian team after that.
Meanwhile Shaw also expressed his disappointment with a cryptic Instagram story. Fans have expressed their feelings for Shaw after the hard-hitting opener was ignored once again.
