Indian team’s performance in the currently ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 has been good, barring the performance against South Africa in their previous match.
While former India captain and star batter Virat Kohli has been in form and scoring runs, Rohit Sharma and particularly KL Rahul has not been in touch though.
With that, KL Rahul has scored only 4, 9 and 9 runs against Pakistan, Netherlands and South Africa respectively. His strike rate is also very poor in that and is really struggling.
Fans are not quite happy with KL Rahul as the opener of team and is demanding a better opener. Meanwhile, Indian team’s ODI and Test opener Shubman Gill, who has not been good in the shortest format of the game, struck a brilliant century against Karnataka in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Gill, who has so far been not considered a good batter in T20 cricket due to his strike rate, scored 126 runs in 55 balls with a strike rate 229.09. Seeing his batting today, even the fans now wants Gill to be Team India’s opener instead of KL Rahul.
