Assam batsman and Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals’ young prodigy Riyan Parag has been a part of the IPL franchise for long, since 2019, but has yet to failed to live-up to their expectations, till now.
Riyan Parag, aged just 21-years-old, is currently playing in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 season for the Assam team.
After a brilliant performance from the team in the Group Stages, Assam has made it to the quarter-final of the tournament and is currently taking on Jammu and Kashmir in the quarter-final of the tournament.
Batting first, Jammu and Kashmir posted a total of 350 runs with centuries from Shubman Khajuria and Henan Nazir.
However, chasing the target, Assam batter remained calm and cool as Rishav Das and Riyan Parag both scored century where the latter scored a brilliant 174 runs from just 116 balls with a strike rate of 150 plus.
Following this, it seems that finally Rajasthan Royals’ work on Riyan Parag over the years is coming to fruition. He right-hand batsman has already struck 3 centuries including this in the tournament. Rajasthan Royals fans on Twitter are finally expecting big things from their little superstar from Assam.
