The league leaders Lahore Qalandars registered another emphatic win in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 on their route to confirming a top of the points table finish by Shaheen Afridi led side.
The match number 26 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 was played between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi.
The pitches of Rawalpindi are quite famous for offering nothing for the bowlers and runs galore on this ground. Same was the case this time as well.
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars put 226 runs on the board in 20 overs with Fakhar Zaman scoring a brilliant 115 runs in 57 balls. Kamran Ghulam and Sam Billings also contributed to the inning.
However, the match winning performance actually came from the world class bowler Rashid Khan. Despite the match being played on a road like flat pitch, Khan struck 4 wickets on his 4 overs, giving away just 21 runs. Thanks to that, Islamabad United inning was wrapped up for just 107 runs in 15 overs as Lahore Qalandars won the match by 119 runs.
After this performance from Rashid Khan, the Twitterati couldn’t stop praising the Afghanistan spinner.
Rashid Khan was trained in Pakistan. He also played domestic cricket in Pakistan. All Pakistanis are proud of you.
