The Lahore Qalandars picked up a very close 1 run victory over the Multan Sultans to win the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 for the 2nd season in a row.
The Pakistan Super League 2023 was a spectacle of a event with the competition being so tight between all the 6 teams.
In the end, it is Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions and Multan Sultans, the 2021’s champion who reached the final of the competition and deservedly so.
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars put 200 runs on the board, thanks to some brilliant batting from Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Mirza Baig and captain Shaheen Afridi scored a quickfire 44 runs of 15 balls.
Chasing the target, Multan Sultans needed a boundary of the last ball to win the match however they conceded a run out wicket on the third run and lost the match. Multan needed one big inning but that didn’t come. Even Rilee Rossouw’s 52 runs wasn’t enough as Lahore Qalandars won the PSL 2023 in some fashion.
