After a defeat in the previous match, Delhi Capitals have managed to get the better of Punjab Kings this time around in the match number 64 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
Batting first, Delhi Capitals posted a huge 213 runs on the board in their 20 overs. David Warner, Prithvi Shaw gave Delhi a great start, but it was actually Rilee Rossouw’s brilliant inning of 82 runs that stood out.
Chasing the target, Punjab Kings scored 198 runs. Captain Dhawan failed to open his account. Prabhsimran also failed to contribute much. But then, Atharva Taide and Liam Livingstone led the charge for Punjab.
While the former decided to retire out to bring more aggressive batters, but they all failed, Liam Livingstone kept his show going from one end.
He scored 94 runs. Punjab needed 33 runs from the last 5 balls and then he hit Ishant Sharma for 16 runs in the next 3 balls, including a no ball. However, he failed to score 17 more runs and Delhi Capitals in the end won the match. See how Twitterati reacted.
