Sunil Gavaskar, while speaking on Star Sports, expressed his hope that MS Dhoni would promote himself higher in the batting order in the upcoming IPL 2023 matches. Gavaskar emphasized that Dhoni’s batting prowess could make a significant difference for CSK, and he is capable of scoring big runs. He further added that if the skipper gets to play more than just two or three overs in the games, it would only benefit the franchise.

“I am hoping MS Dhoni promotes himself higher in the batting order. So that he gets to play more than two or three overs in the games. He can make that difference for CSK with his batting because he is capable of scoring big runs,” Gavaskar said in a show while speaking on Star Sports.
