After the debutant Gujarat Titans shocked everyone to win the Indian Premier League (IPL) on their debut season in the year 2022, now it comes the time for them to defend their title when they kick-off the IPL 2023 against Chennai Super Kings.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is set to be a Gala event and the fans of all the teams are quite excited about the competition and wants their favourite team to win the competition.
Last year, it was the debutant Gujarat Titans who won the IPL 2022 Trophy beating the inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals in the final of the tournament. This time though, it won’t be an easy task for any of the team.
Going into the IPL 2023, all the 10 teams have further strengthened their squad, including the champions too, and are claiming a stake at winning the title. However, to get hold of the IPL 2023 Trophy, a team will have to have the best batters and bowlers.
Talking of bowlers, every 10 teams have a great list of bowlers representing them in the IPL 2023. However, cricket analyst Sanjay Manjrekar named the IPL franchise who have the best bowling line-up.
While Mumbai Indians have the players like Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah for them (though the latter is not playing due to injury) but Sanjay Manjrekar picked Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as the team who have the best bowling attack in the IPL in 2023.
RCB have the likes of Josh Hazlewood, David Willey, Shahbaz Ahmed, Michael Bracewell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, Karn Sharma and former Purple Cap winner Harshal Patel are some of the bowlers in their disposal among the number of bowlers they have in their squad.
While talking in Star Sports Network’s show, Sanjay Manjrekar said, “Their pace bowling has depth. Even if Hazlewood is not fit, then they have Topley. In spin, they have Wanindu Hasaranga. They have Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel. Their bowling is perfect and even Maxwell can bowl. In this IPL, according to me, the best bowling attack belongs to RCB and that is their combined x-factor.”
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play their first match of the IPL 2023 on 2nd of April when they will hosts the 5 times champions Mumbai Indians. RCB reached the playoffs last year in the IPL 2022 until to be eliminated by the Rajasthan Royals in the Qualifier 2.
