Gujarat Titans Afghanistani leg-spin bowler Rashid Khan feels Hardik Pandya is leading the team beyond his inspirational performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya is second in the race for the Orange Cap with 228 runs from five matches and has also taken a total of four wickets in this tournament so far. Gujarat has registered four wins in five matches and is currently at the top of the points table.
He has also been good on the field as he had run out Sanju Samson in the team’s previous match against Rajasthan Royals. Despite being one of the normal teams on paper, Hardik has used his players to the best of his ability.
Let us tell you that Hardik Pandya did not lead any team from his early cricketing years till this IPL season, but he has looked quite impressive as a captain in his first year as a leader.
Regarding Hardik, Gujarat vice-captain Rashid Khan said in the press conference that, “The way he (Hardik) has led the team, the way he has kept the team environment, inside and outside the field has been amazing so far.”
The Afghanistan spinner said that Hardik does not hesitate to take brave decisions as a captain and he always has confidence and has a clear opinion on what to do.
Rashid Khan believes that Hardik is proving to be a good captain because of taking the right decisions at the right time. He said that when someone make the right decisions with complete confidence, it is what makes them the best.
He further said that Hardik has given his best performance till date, whether it is batting, bowling or fielding and he has led from the front in every department.
