Jarvo, real name Daniel Jarvis, has gained a lot of popularity among the members of the cricket universe after he made his presence felt on the field during the live action of the India vs England Test series. First, he came out to field for the Indian cricket team at the Lord’s cricket ground.
And on Day 3 of the Headingley Test match, Jarvo came out as a batsman. In fact, he even reached to the pitch and was about to take the guard before the security team took him out of the field. Jarvo came out to bat after Rohit Sharma lost his wicket.
Fans on social media enjoyed Jarvo’s activity a lot. Even Ravichandran Ashwin, the Indian off-spinner, commented on that incident. He sent a tweet to Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Jarvo for showing intent and grit in Leeds. While the first part of his message was hilarious, Ashwin clarified in the final part of his tweet that Jarvo should never do another activity like that.
“Today’s play was as good as it can get with Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Jarvo showing great intent and grit! Keep going fellas and stop doing this Jarvo,” R Ashwin tweeted after Stumps on Day 3.
