Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan has spoken out in support of Indian pace bowler Mohammad Shami after the latter received online abuses after India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2021 match.
One of the key player of the Indian cricket team Mohammad Shami was targeted with online abuses following India’s massive 10 wickets defeat against arch-rival Pakistan on the 24th October.
Pakistan cricket team’s wicketkeeper batsman, who played an instrumental knock of 79 runs in 55 balls, came out on public domain to stand beside the Indian pace bowler.
Rizwan took to his Social Media handle to come out with a solid statement in support of Mohammad Shami. Rizwan stated that a players has to go through immeasurable pressures and struggles while playing for their respective national team.
He also asked the people of India to respect the players and stated that India vs Pakistan match should bring people together and not divide them.
India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2021
Going into the tournament, the Indian team was undefeated against Pakistan in any World Cup events. But Pakistan finally brake the jinx as they registered a solid 10 wickets win in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.
Pakistan had won the toss and captain Babar Azam said that they will take the field first. They restricted India to just 151 runs in the 20 overs. Virat Kohli played an important role with his fifty plus score.
Pakistan had no issues chasing the target as they completed the chase with all of their 10 wickets still in hand. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan both scored 79 and 68 runs respectively.

India and Pakistan will now next meet New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2021. While Pakistan will take on New Zealand on the eve of the 26th October, India will meet the Kiwis on the last day of the month, on the 31st October.
