The 40th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is in the history books, with the Gujarat Titans rising to the top of the points table with a close victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia were the heroes for the Ahmedabad-based franchise as they beat SRH on the last ball of the match. SRH’s spin-bowling coach Muttiah Muralitharan was visibly frustrated with the performance of his team.
Gujarat Titans won the toss and asked Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first. Fifties from Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram inspired the Hyderabad-based franchise to a total of 195 runs in 20 overs. Shashank Singh wowed everyone with a magnificent six-ball 25.
In reply, GT got off to a great start, thanks to a half-century from their wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha. Umran Malik brought SRH back into the contest with a five-wicket haul. He conceded only 25 runs in his four overs and picked up the wickets of Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Saha, Abhinav Manohar and David Miller.
The match went down to the last over, with 22 runs needed for a win. Marco Jansen bowled the last over. He had a bad day in the office which got even worse as he gave away 25 runs off six balls as GT won by five wickets. Commenting on Jansen after the match, Kane Williamson said:
“He is a strong competitor. The focus is about the cricket that we want to play. It was a good performance but sometimes, you get beaten by the better side or the team that wins the fine moments.”
Twitter reacts as Muttiah Muralitharan gets angry in the dugout
Muttiah Muralitharan is known to have a calm approach, but he lost his cool when Marco Jansen went for big runs in the last over. He was visibly frustrated and failed to understand why Jansen was bowling the lengths he did. Here is the video, followed by Twitter reactions to it:

Muralitharan got furious in the last over… rare sight… and I think by reading his lips, he said "why is he not bowling a fuller length" #GTvsSRH #SRHvsGT #TATAIPL #UmranMalik
