Imam-ul-Haq, the Pakistan cricket team’s star opening batsman, has had mouth full of words of praise for the Indian captain Rohit Sharma. He praised him so much that he even called him even better than Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are some of the greatest cricketers who are currently playing the game of bat and ball. While Rohit Sharma is one of the best opening batsman that there is now, Virat Kohli has been one of the best cricketer for several years and has been considered among the greats.

Meanwhile, talking to Sama News, Imam-ul-Haq recalled the time when Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were batting together again the Pakistan team. He said that Virat Kohli does not have the talent that God has given to Rohit Sharma.

He added that he has seen both the batsmen play and Rohit Sharma is an amazing batsman and has a lot of time to play shots and that he realized the real importance of ‘timing’ only seeing him. He further added that no batsman can replace Rohit Sharma in the Indian team.

“I feel the talent that God has given Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli probably doesn’t have. I have seen both of them play, but it really feels like a replay is going on the way Rohit Sharma plays. He has a lot of time and I realized the true meaning of ‘time’ when I was fielding at point,” Imam said.

Rohit Sharma has played numerous excellent innings against Pakistan, one of which is 140 runs in the 2019 ODI World Cup. Imam-ul-Haq told that Rohit Sharma’s batting is very amazing and many young batsmen can learn from him.

Imam-ul-Haq further praised Rohit Sharma and said that Rohit Sharma is such a player who can change the whole game in 2 seconds’ and once he stands up, it is very difficult to get him out. He continued that he wants to be able to perform like him.

Rohit made his International debut in the year 2007, even before Virat Kohli did. Rohit has played 45 Tests, 231 ODIs and 128 T20Is in his career and has scored 3137, 9359 and 3379 runs respectively.
