The match number 18 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is going on between the hosts Punjab Kings and the visiting Gujarat Titans.
Both the teams come into the match having suffered a defeat in their previous match, interestingly, on the very same day and now both the teams look to ensure a comeback in Punjab.
Punjab Kings suffered a defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous match while the Gujarat Titans saw the Rinku Singh carnage in the last over blew them.
Gujarat Titans bowler Yash Dayal was taken all over the park by Rinku Singh to score 30 runs in 5 while needing 28 runs in 5 balls to win the match.
Now after that punishment by Rinku, Gujarat Titans have taken a major step and decided to drop Yash Dayal from the Playing XI for the match against Punjab Kings.
But after this decision, Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya met with backlash as he didn’t back his player, like MS Dhoni did for Tushar Deshpande, who started off not so well but is currently CSK’s go to bowler.
