Later tonight, the Kolkata Knight Riders will host the Lucknow Super Giants in an evening encounter. A victory for either CSK or LSG will guarantee their place in the playoffs, while DC and KKR will be determined to spoil their opponents’ chances and add further complexity to the playoff race.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is one of the team who have certainly surprised the fans with their performance. After their IPL 2023 Auction, much was not expected from them.

They lost their opening to match to Punjab Kings due to rain and then went to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore and that stunning final over chase vs Gujarat Titans. But then their train fell of the track and the fans, who were considering them one of the favourites, ruled them out of the tournament.

But come the 2nd half of the tournament, KKR bounced back well and remained in the race for a playoff spot till the end. Numbers of players this season rose up for the side while some of the big boys were not so good.

One of those player who rose to the occasion is Rinku Singh. The left-hand batsman has been by far KKR’s best and one of the best player of the IPL 2023.

And now, according to former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Rinku Singh has emerged as the X-factor for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) this season, surpassing Andre Russell. Harbhajan’s opinion reflects a significant shift in perception.

Harbhajan Singh stated, “Now Rinku has become the X-factor for KKR, not Russell. Russell’s era is gone. It’s Rinku’s time now. Even if Rinku is sent up, he can fulfill his role effectively. He possesses a unique skill set, and we might see him earning an India cap in the near future.”

This perspective highlights Harbhajan Singh’s belief in Rinku Singh’s abilities and his prediction of a promising future for the player, potentially earning him a place in the Indian cricket team.
