In the second innings, Kohli appeared to be in fine form, but Ben Stokes’ delivery that was shaping away from him caused him to be out at 20. Kohli was troubled by the delivery’s additional bounce and edged it to the keeper. Graeme Swann defended Kohli, claiming that Indian commentators frequently criticize him harshly. He also said that anyone would have had difficulty playing the delivery because it was impossible to play.

He said, “Regardless, if you are looking to get on the front foot, back foot, that ball is a ripsnorter. From an English point of view, I often find that whenever Indian commentators talk about Virat, I always think wow they are quite harsh on him”. He also said that the standards are very high for a player like Virat Kohli. He further added that it was also a lucky catch in the end.
