BCCI has announced the squad that will represent India at the upcoming T20 World Cup. The event will begin on October 17th and will take place in UAE and Oman. There were plenty of surprises in the squad, including the appointment of MS Dhoni as the team’s mentor. Plenty of surprises in the squad
There were plenty of surprises in the squad. R Ashwin returned to the squad while Yuzvendra Chahal did not find a place in it. While Shikhar Dhawan was not considered, Shreyas Iyer has been selected only as a standby player. T Natarajan has also not got a chance in the team.
DK reacts to MS Dhoni’s appointment as the mentor of Team India
MS Dhoni’s appointment as the mentor of the squad was unexpected. A legend that he is, Dhoni announced retirement last August. Hence, to see him back in a blue shirt will be a special feeling for the fans. Many cricketers also reacted to the news and called this decision to be a perfect one. Dinesh Karthik said it was a masterstroke to bring MSD on board. He also congratulated R Ashwin and Varun CV on their selection to the squad.
