Watch: CSK’s star pacer Tushar Deshpande receive Grand Welcome back home after winning the IPL 2023 for MS Dhoni led side

Tushar Deshpande, the pace bowler of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), received a heartfelt reception from a large gathering when he arrived in Mumbai. It is worth mentioning that the bowler achieved success with the CSK team as they emerged victorious in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Gujarat Titans to claim the championship.

After the conclusion of the 16th edition of the prestigious league, Tushar made his way back to his hometown, where he was greeted with immense affection from Mumbai fans.

As he journeyed home, fans surrounded his car, expressing their warm welcome and appreciation for his contributions to the team’s title-winning campaign.

Tushar was Chennai Super Kings’ lead bowler this season until their star pacer Deepak Chahar revived in his form. Deshpande played in 16 matches for the Chennai based side and took 21 wickets.

In the grand final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Chennai Super Kings got the better of the defending champions Gujarat Titans.

Initially scheduled to be played on the 28th of May, the match had to be delayed by a day to May 29th due to heavy rain in Ahmedabad on 28th May.

However, the match was played on the reserve day on the 29th of May. Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 214 runs with Sai Sudharsan being the standout with 96 runs inning.

CSK had their target revised to 171 runs in 15 overs after rain interrupted the match. Both Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway displayed some great batting, but it was in the end Ravindra Jadeja’s who scored 10 runs in the last 2 balls to win the match for Chennai Super Kings.

With that win, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has equal the record for winning the IPL most times, 5 times with Mumbai Indians. Tushar Deshpande played a key role in the triumphant season for CSK after they finished 9th last year.
