Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been out of action for more than six months now. He sustained a knee injury during the Asia Cup 2022, which forced him out of the team for quite a long time. He was a key member of the team, and India certainly missed him in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.
Jadeja brings a totally different skillset to the team, which is irreplaceable. But spin-bowling all-rounder Axar Patel has grabbed that opportunity with both hands and done a brilliant job in his absence, and it looks like he has cemented his place in the team. He won the “Player of the Series” award in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Washington Sundar has also performed well in whatever limited chances he has had in this period. Some media reports confirm that Jadeja may take longer to return to the team, which will undoubtedly pique the interest of many fans. Recently, Jadeja came up with a cryptic post on Twitter on Thursday and tweeted, “Don’t say anything. Just smile”.
