"Shan doesn't deserve to be in the team"- Twitter reacts after some media reports suggest that Shan Masood to replace Babar Azam as ODI and Test captain

The third and final ODI match between Pakistan and New Zealand is underway at the National Stadium, Karachi. After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first. However, it didn’t go well for them at the start, as skipper Babar Azam (4) and vice captain Shan Masood (0) got out cheaply. Shan, who was playing his first game as a vice-captain, played his last ODI in 2019.

But he was still named as a vice captain in the absence of Shadab Khan, which came as a shock to many. Although he couldn’t make it into the playing XI for the first two games, in the third game he got out for a duck. However, some media reports confirmed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was looking to remove Babar from the captaincy role in the longest format.

The PCB made this decision after a poor performance in Test cricket at home. According to reports, Shan is one of the front runners to replace Babar as test captain after a poor performance in the home test series against England and New Zealand raised questions about Babar’s captaincy.

And the decision to make Shan a vice captain in ODIs indicates that the new PCB management is willing to give him the captaincy of both tests and ODIs. And since this news has come out, it has gone viral. However, fans also didn’t lose the moment, and after Shan got out for a duck in the third ODI against New Zealand, they trolled him badly.
