Shikhar Dhawan showcased his love for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) once again when he played outstanding shots in his extraordinary inning while opening for Punjab Kings.
The match number 38 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is being played between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who are both looking to improve on their position in the IPL 2022 Points Table.
Chennai skipper Ravindra Jadeja won the toss and opted to bowl first, asking Shikhar Dhawan and his opening partner Mayank Agarwal to open the inning for Punjab.
The duo got off a slow start, adding 37 runs in the powerplay, losing Mayank’s wicket in the penultimate ball of the last over of the powerplay.
However, Shikhar Dhawan and new batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa insured that there is not much trouble to batting department. They got off to a slow start as well, but, once overs went past, they accelerated.
But Rajapaksa was dismissed by Dwayne Bravo in the dying ends of the match, but, that still doesn’t interrupt Shikhar Dhawan. He displayed some great shot making and went on to reach 88 runs and finished unbeaten.
