Avesh Khan turned hero for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) without any big contributions in the match by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) that the Lucknow side won in the very last ball of the match.
This 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been a very competitive one where almost all teams have the ability to beat any other team on any other day.
We have already seen some spectacular matches in the IPL 2023 and yesterday match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants wasn’t just anything else.
Batting first, we saw carnage from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell where all 3 of the batters scored past fifty runs and helped RCB post 212 runs on the board.
Chasing the target, we then saw a master-class batting from Nicholas Pooran. The West Indies batter along with some fine innings from Marcus Stoinis and Ayush Badoni took LSG close to the match.
However, RCB bounced back in the end so much so that LSG needed 5 runs to win in the last 6 balls with tailenders on the crease. Harshal Patel managed to get 2 wickets of Mark Wood and Jaydev Unadkat.
Now, it was all down to 1 run required in 1 ball. Patel’s delivery was completely missed by Avesh Khan, but he and Ravi Bishnoi don’t cared started running for that single. It was very much helped a fumble behind the stumps by wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik.
