With the IPL 2023 Player Auction is just now 1 day away, all the teams are busy making their strategies for the Auction. And one of those team is the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who had a terrible IPL 2022 campaign after winning the whole thing in 2021.

Going into the 2022 IPL season, team’s captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) handed the captaincy to Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. However, due to the team’s poor performance, Jadeja gave back the captaincy duty to MS Dhoni.

Afterwards, there were much rumours that not much is going right between Jadeja and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) management, especially after he was ruled out of the tournament after relinquishing the captaincy due to injury.

However, that was not the only controversy that was in CSK camp. Recently, Ireland cricket team’s star left-arm pacer Joshua Little (Josh Little) made a bold statement. While speaking to Cricbuzz, he revealed that he parted ways with CSK just two weeks after joining the team.

Little was a net bowler for the CSK team in the IPL 2022 season. He told to Cricbuzz that he was used mainly as a net bowler and was only allowed to bowl when the other bowlers get tired.

“I was told it was something it wasn’t. I was told before I went that I’m a net bowler and if someone gets injured then there’s a chance I play. But I couldn’t bowl when I wanted, I’d get two overs [in training] and think, ‘Two overs, I’m halfway across the world here!’ Maybe I was naive because I played in the Lankan Premier League and T10, I had a good year behind me,” Little told to Cricbuzz.

He said that he was a international bowler and the way he was treated was not right. He added that he felt like getting out of the team camp as soon as possible and also added that CSK will never gonna have him back again.

“I’m an international cricketer, it didn’t seem right. When I found out I was a net bowler that was required to bowl at someone when the slingers were tired, I was like ‘get me out of here’ – which is probably why they’ll never have me back because I left after two weeks,” he said.

Meanwhile, Josh Little is set to appear in the IPL 2023 Player Auction that is to take place on the 23rd of December. Little has made quite the name in the last couple of months through his brilliant performance. He was playing for the Manchester Original in The Hundred tournament. He also played for the Deccan Gladiators in the T10 League and but it is actually his performance in the T20 World Cup 2022 that has certainly put him under lot of attention among the franchises, especially his hat-trick against New Zealand in the tournament.
