Pakistan cricket team’s captain Babar Azam, who has emerged as one of the best cricketer in the recent couple of years, has expressed his desire to become world number 1 in all three formats of the game.
A young boy named Babar Azam made his Pakistan cricket team debut in 31st May in 2015. At that time, who did knew that the batter would be considered among the bests of the current generation.
Such has been his progression in the game of cricket. Making his debut against Zimbabwe, taking charge of the national, and then, leading the team to a win over India in a World Cup, which Pakistan had failed to do for long.
Currently, Babar Azam is one of the first names on the team sheet for Pakistan, also given the fact that he is the captain of the team. But, he due all his credit.
He probably is currently the best player in all three formats of the game. A proof of that would be the ICC Rankings. Babar is currently ranked number 1 in both the ODI and T20I, only sitting 5th in the Test ranking.
Recently, the batter himself expressed his desire to be the world number 1 in all three formats of the game. Babar stated during the press conference before upcoming series against West Indies, “I dream to be No 1 in all the three formats but for that hard work is needed. I am working very hard to achieve this target.”
Pakistan cricket team will next take on the West Indies cricket team in the upcoming 3 match One Day International (ODI) series, which commences on the 8th of June. The series is a continuation of last year’s series, which had to be stopped midway through due to some reasons.
