England’s Moeen Ali showcased his unbelievable power-hitting against the Rajasthan Royals bowlers, uncertainly against one Kiwi bowler Trent Boult.
Match number 68 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is being played between the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.
It was MS Dhoni who won the toss and opted to bat first as the trend has been in the last couple of games. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed early on by Trent Boult.
But then, what the whole world just witnessed was a whirlwind from the English all-rounder Moeen Ali. Coming in at number 3, Moeen Ali smashed Trent Boult for 26 runs in the last over the powerplay.
It was just sheer power-hitting from the man, starting it off with a 6 of the first ball, and then, 5 boundaries in the next 5 balls of the over. However, come the end of the inning, Moeen was unfortunately dismissed for the score of 93 runs, missing out on his first IPL hundred.
Twitter went crazy when Moeen Ali just took Boult, the number 1 ODI bowler all over the park.
